Pratip Chaudhuri

Pratip Chaudhuri holds Master's Degree in Business Administration and is an Alumnus of University Business School, Chandigarh and St. Stephens College, Delhi University. He has 40 years of rich experience in banking sector. He is the former Chairman of the State Bank of India(SBI). He took charge on 7 April 2011 and retired on 30 September 2013. Prior to that, he was the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of the International Division of SBI. He has held several important positions in SBI including Chief General Manager of Chennai Circle. He is also credited with the merger of State Bank of Saurashtra in 2008 with SBI, when he was a Director. Currently, he is an Independent Director in several Companies.
